Hi all - been out of commission with some family illnesses for a while, but this load plus a minivan full as well is what I scored today. Happy scrapping!

Nice LadyScrapper - wish I could find computer stuff like that for free. I keep getting outbid on all of my auctions, etc. I did pick up some power line stuff today while waiting for one of my storage auctions to start. Got there and 6 trucks contracting out to the local power company was restocking from the storage unit. Noticed them tossing all sorts of stuff into the dumpster. After they parted I looked in. Found a few lengths of wire, a few odds/ends, and this large bus fuse type thing. No idea what it came from, I took some pictures to research. It is heavy however, and looked to have some brass on it.
I hope things getting better on your end. Take you time with that old horizotal type tower. It may have some parts worth more to collectors than scrap. Mike.

Now go beat the copper out of something, Miked
ok, didn't want to start a whole new thread about this, just want someone to make me feel a little better with a chance I took today lol. From everything I've read, it seems you can spend up to $4-5 per comp. and still make money. I put a bid in today on 53 computers, plus flat screen monitors, keyboards/mice, and a couple printers, for $165. Tell me I'm not going to lose my butt on this, plus $30 for gas if I win to go get them.
lol no your gonna be banking.
Thanks Miked I've been reading all the escrap threads, but still can't seem to figure it all out very well. There used to be a computer components sticky, but I can't find it now...
Looks like the ladies are out doing some of us guys. nice hall Ladyscrapers.

"horizotal type tower" is referred to as a desktop unit. Looks like an HP Vectra probably a 486 or Pentium 90 ceramic cpu. Looks like a nice collection you picked up especially for free.
MNTNMN if you get that load for that price you will do fine.
Yep PTS, I was getting ready to say $600. to $800. gross profit.I put a bid in today on 53 computers, plus flat screen monitors, keyboards/mice, and a couple printers, for $165. Tell me I'm not going to lose my butt on this, plus $30 for gas if I win to go get them.
