My beagle found a dryer...and snow won't stop me!

Ok, I know that sounds interesting...well up here in WI we have some good snow/wind goin on right now. Well, usually when it's snowing my beagle runs outside, does his stuff, and comes back. Nope, not today. I turned my back for a second, and he was gone. So, I proceed to follow his footprints through my backyard, through a neighbors yard, and across the street to where...hello...he's peeing on a dryer! Well, a dryer carcass it appears, as it's laid out neetly in pieces. Well, as I proceed to yell at him, he runs back through the yards and up the stairs to our house.

I proceed to let him in, run my girlfriend to work, and on my way home I swing by the house with the dryer carcass. I jump out, open the back of my car, rearrange my cargo area, and proceed to throw the small pieces in on the bottom. So, I'm thinking the person just decided to pull the motor/wires and pitch the steel, but as I get to the top piece I see wires, but they've been cut. Well, still a little wire is better than none. Throw the barrel in my car, and as i'm shaking the snow off the casing I find that...helloooo...the motor is still attatched!!! Figuring, ok, the person probably couldn't get it out of the basement in once piece and decided to break it down, I try to cram the shell in my car...Oh joy..it doesn't fit.

So I ratchet strapped it to the roof.

I took a picture, but can't post it because my computer doesn't want to read the memory card in my phone, and my micro-reader isn't at home. I'll get it up eventually.

Today, I'm kinda happy my dog decided to run away. If I didn't have to chase him, I never woulda found it...the guy placed it on the curb nicely, but just out of view of my porch.

Enough posting, time to go plow my driveway.

Beagles are amazing and they have the most beautiful eyes.

how much is a dryer motor worth? I just began cleaning out my garage for the spring and I pulled out 3 dryers, 2 washers, 1 stove and a ton of other junk that I took to the dump. I'm usually VERY busy in the day so I don't have time to break down motors and stuff but how much would a smaller motor be worth?

Good Dog!!! I trained my old Akita/Border Collie (R.I.P.) JoJo to bark at refrigerators when we were alley running! He just loved to ride around and go places.

advise when your dog finds scrap. DON'T EAT THE YELLOW SNOW AT THE CORNERS OR ENDS.

lol, thanks olddude. And backwell, always remember, breaking down makes it worth more. This one has some cast aluminum casing with the copper windings, i'm sure we've all seen enough the have the pictures in our head. Right now it's just chilling out on the side of my garage, covered in snow. No flippin time to do anything, and when I do have time I don't care to be out in the cold. It needs to warm up so I can get my stuff straightened up. I'm starting to feel like those people on Hoarders, everywhere I look theres junk, I can't find my tools, and i'm having issues with organization. Gotta get back on track.
