Ok he just put me into a loop...I have been very busy as you all should be able to tell (not been on site) as I have been looking and hunting for a new spot that fits my needs just right. Well he came around yesterday and said in a round about of way if I had found a new place, I just said I have a few options but nothing set in stone. He left and alittle later in the day he said he wanted to talk to me....he said he hates being the "mean" guy but at times he just goes on a rant (I have now heard this from other people) but he is "over" it now and if I wish to stay I can....what the hell lmao

All I know now is I am staying here and still going to do some space hunting but one thing that I did come by is there are some good warehouses in the 500k mark that are 10k+ sf up to 20k sf and they are NICE so who knows this year or next year I may own the building so I wont have to worry about landlords. Until then my plan is to stay here and stack up until I am 90% over loaded and then get a bigger building to rent...or buy just based on what my needs are at the time.

Look up renter's rights in your state. You would be surprised how much the law protects the renter. My sister has been able to successfully get out of 2 leases and won a case in small claims court just by knowing the laws in NY.

Man there is no way in hell I'd keep doing buisness with a person like that. At any moment (always happens when you are down on your luck it seem) the guy could whig out again and send you packing. I'd play along with him and keep looking for a new place and then when the moment is right I'd dissappear in the night to the new location. This is your buisness and you don't need a headache like that. It's tough enough to make it scrapping without that hanging over you.

Thats my plan and what I am working on. I am thinking of buying the place and not rent so I am looking into a few options but around the DFW there are alot of building both up for rent and for sale so alot of hunting and looking around.

I went through a similar experience a few months ago. Landlord failed to pay his property taxes and some sharks bought it. Kept playing games and telling me to get out. I refused to give them any rent money until they fixed the place up. I was threatened, sworn at, heat turned up to 95 degrees, power turned off (ruined a monitor), entrance door taken away, locks jammed with wood shavings, and all kinds of stuff. When I called the police, they told me it was a civil issue and there was nothing they could do about it. Finally found a place after a few months. Unfortunately, I had to take a studio apt. and sign a lease for a year, but at least I'm out of there. So now I'm scrapping in a dinky little room where I can hardly move. But so be it. I'm much happier now.
