    Over looked TV copper

I have taken apart many TVs and now i realize I have missed a small wire around tube hooked to a spring looks like stainless wire (non ferris) it's Tin Copper & sells as #2 I have saved it at times just did not realize it was considered #2 it's very little weight but it's just sitting there for the taking.
I figure i took apart 1500 tv's so 1 oz of tin copper = 1500 oz divided by 16 oz = 93 lbs , well since some tvs were small I figure 75 lbs ? at the very least or $200 hmm

It's not even close to worth the hassle.

Hey Hoss, I was setting here thinking about what you said about the metal tabs crimping the wires together and if I'm not mistaken those crimps are brass clips, so the yard "should" take them as #2. Might take a file to one but I think I did that back last summer.

Hoss, it's just a "snip, snip" and think how many pounds of it you would have after doing 50 million tv's !

That braid is usefull is a solder wick if you do a lot of soldering, it soaks up molten solder if you wipe some flux onto it & dip it into the molten solder.
Then just snip the full bit off.

Yeah i've saved them before. Had, heck, maybe 500 tv's? that i saved them off of. After HOURS UPON HOURS UPON HOURS of "snip snip", i had a massive blister, and less than 5 pounds of copper. Not worth it. At all.

Since most computer and appliance wires are tinned copper you could throw it in with that.

I didn't know the connectors were brass. I've been snipping them off and throwing them away.
