Airport bag conveyor system noobs first big score :d

Well I think I did fairly well????? Found this conveyor system was to go up on the auction block. Well I got it for 400.00 +10%. I really wanted the angle iron and some cres for welding projects. Plus looks like I will make a few bucks when all dissmantled and seperated. Would like to know what you all think about large 3 phase motors, better to scrap as is or spend the time removing the windings?? Will be a busy weekend, oh well no pain no gain

It's kind of hard to get a sense of scale there, but are you saying those "I" beam rails are 36" wide?

Wow, that is a heck of a score right there! Look at the van in the background of the first picture for scale. Also the luggage wagons beside everything as well. This stuff looks huge! Which means HEAVY too!

No they are not 36" I Beams, I wish. They are steal frames with steel retaining walls to keep baggage from falling.
Starting going through after work today & loaded up a bag cart of just the loose stainless, chucked it all on pallet and weighed in @ 832lbs.
Was planning on chopping up some of the frames but ran out of acetylene, oh well there's always tommorow.

Yupp, I have a bay here...... so it's a big added plus.. Amazing only one other party bid on it. They also had an ARFF 1992 Oshkosh T1500 & it went way cheap. Didn't get good expossure I guess.
