Last one was a 19". I had to go a block out of my way on my way home from school. 2 mins for a quick c/l search. 30 second phone call. Guy came that night with a $20 bill.
With the rear projection/DLP types, you can pull the fresnel lense and sell it on
ebay. Or, you can have some fun with it yourself.
Incidentally, the rear projection/DLP type televisions and the flat panels are sometimes an easy fix. Depending on the symptoms, it might be worth opening them up and check for/replace the bulging capacitors on the circuit boards and power supply. Sometimes the only thing wrong is broken a color wheel. Chances are you can get about $300 on craigslist for 50" or larger DLP.
