    Lately...

Job at the scrap yard didn't pan out.. BUT lately I've been going through almost more escrap than I can handle... almost =)

I think I've mailed out 200# of escrap to Ewasted in the last week and there's at least another 50-70# in my garage that I need to get prepped, boxed, and mailed. Not counting the box I sent to PTS and another box of vid cards waiting for him.

Also have about 40 working components on Craigslist right now from an old atari, to a vintage radio, to a nice Peavy amp, to ram and light scribe dvd drives. All items I picked up for FREE this week.

Did a free clean out of an old barn and literally found more than I could fit in my brother's truck. Would've made two trips but it was 40 miles out of town and the guy had his littel girl with him and she was tired. May try to connect with him next week if he has time.

Also did a cleanout of a small computer repair guy that passed away, also all free.

I've made three great connections with "computer repair guys." First gives me all his broken stuff every two weeks for free and offered to buy large hard drives and ram at really good prices. Second also wants to buy all SATA drives I come across and large ram and gives me all his broken stuff for free. Third is "getting out of the business" and I'm slowly buying all of his inventory. Really good pricing structure plus he gives me all his old cases for free and keeps saying when he "really" quits he'll give me everything else for free.

I have had my friends working, my brother working, and my husband working off and on all week. It's been good. Biggest problem I have is the huge pile of "lesser" valued items piling up to the ceiling (power supplies, floppy and cd drives, computer monitors, printers, etc.). And I will take that problem any day! I'll get some pictures on here later of the really cool stuff...

It's been a great couple of days! As soon as I can get back home I'm diving back into the garage to scrap until I drop...

Some one like me makes money on / "lesser" valued items piling up to the ceiling (power supplies, floppy and cd drives, computer monitors, printers, etc. / You could sell these to some one like me near you.
I go for a 60/ 40 split if i feel it will be a regular thing. When you consider the time you need to break down and gas its a good deal to let some one like me go at it .

If you were near me I most definitely would sell them. If I can find that someone here I will, but until then it becomes my pile for slow days. I'm in no way complaining about it, just don't have time to get to it...
