    Auto batteries

lately since ive gotten my new truck( a ford explorer) ive only been taking in alloy wheels and car batteries. ive gotten a normal amount of alloy wheels but batteries is a different story it seems im not paying high enough because i keep getting turned down when i tell them the price. im paying 5 dollars if they have 1 to 10 anything more i pay 7 dollars each. at the yard i make 10 dollars each on them. am i paying too little or should i use a specific approach ?

I quit buying so many batteries for that reason. Just not worth it to me dealing with them for less.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

My only suggestion would be to maybe shop around on price. I think you should be getting around 12/battery. Most all the yards around here are paying .35/lb. If you got over 2000lbs you don't have a problem getting .39-.40/lb. But then again location is everything. For us, being close to st louis is very helpful. You go an hour south and you have problems getting 3.00/battery from scrap yards.
