    Today was a good day

Well yesterday and today..but hey..details! Forecast for rest of the week looks just as nice.

So..my wife works at hotel as a mngr. here on my sandbar. She called me yesterday afternoon with.."Hey babe, their tossing out a bunch of ceiling metal, should come up and get it." Turns out the hotel is having entire lobby done, along with the offices, ballroom and kitchen. An its a lot of **** metal!

So..took up the first load this morning, my poor mini van hates me now by the way, an cleared 75.00 for the butt load of ceiling tile metal thinga ma jigs. They'll have another load for me this afternoon, an the rest of the week. Not bad if I do say so..for total of less then 3 hours work.

I know its not huge, but for a fella just starting out, I'm rather pleased. Downside..I get to listen to the wife remind me how she 'found' it. lol.

A big thanks to you folks for your advice you';ve shared. It sure helped while talking with contractors. If all goes well the rest of the week, those guys will be getting some pizza or beer on me.

Sirscrapalot - literally has junk in the trunk.

Hey Sir, If I were you I would take your wife out to dinner before you buy pizza and beer, keep her happy and she'll let you know next time there getting rid of something. Might be computors next who knows just my 2 cents.

gotta love the easy scores like that one. i started keeping a notebook with all my trips to the yard scribbled in it and everytime my old lady gives me some crap about scrapping i just show her my book. she dosent mind so much anymore. you will be surprised how quick those $75 loads add up.keep it up.
