If they are abc ones the chem is not toxic...google msds sheets for fire extinguishers an read up on it.why wold a dump bury something in the ground that a-could be toxic which it's not b- could contaminate water supply's which it can't. Sounds like someone is trying to get over on you. I would investigate further. See if a fire safety company wants the chem back. The only ones out there that can be a problem are the ones with halon in them . But those stopped being mfg in 1994 , I could be wrong but check it out.

a mechanic had two of them, came out to look at my cars for sale and wanted to trade, we get to buy all his converters from now on or trade for them, and anything else he takes off of a vehicle, plus he hooked me up with another repo guy and ive already gotten one car from him. we have started to get some really good contacts the last few weeks which is the main reason i havnt been on as much lately, now back to the topic congrats to all the guys that have been able to get these extinguishers, make sure to magnet and scratch everything, remember the post where i found the copper tubes and the brass chains, and on the hoses with brass i just cut them off flush with the chopsaw and they give me brass breakage, its way easier plus you get breakage price for the braided hose

the top pusher is with the tire machine its just in the back of my truck, and it works he demo ed it for me changing a trailer tire on my trailer

Nice Cory, turning us on to the extinguishers is coming back to you ten fold. Great news and yes I marked that thread long ago about the all the goodies attached to the extinguishers.

Yep I got my first load of them extinguishers last weekend. Got them neatly stacked in my back yard along the fence so when I have a slow day of no computers I have something to tear apart.

That would be me. I made 4 runs to the scrap yard this weekend. Only 1/3 of the way threw that trailer full of computers. Cashed in for about $800 total on my 4 runs. Plan to finish up the computers this week after work if I dont work 10 hour days again all week. Then kill them fire extinguishers on sunday. Should be a nice long week. Not to mention the 100 things I need to put on ebay this week.

I'm saving odd size gas bottles so I can make a replica cannon from them, the fridge compressor cases work well with the extra weld lines they have on them.
The fire extinguisher bottles seem to be a good size for the base of the barrels.

The bolts are the long iron ones from wooden bed bases.

we mainly use a sawzall with bi-metal blades. The ones that are empty and have no pressure are simple to do, no mess with the chems getting all over the place. The ones that are still pressurized get a bit messy as you should get the pressure out before cutting into them. Depending what your set up is like you can get a plastic 55 drum, cut a 3 inch hole on the top and spray chems into it. try to cover the hole with a rag so yuo dont get blow back out the hole. You are going to get some but no too much. Use a wet rag it seems to help a bit. The bottom line is that you are going to have to deal with the powder flying around some. should have mentioned before, try putting them in a vice standing up helps the cutting go a bit easier too.
