1st Craig List posting of the year

I'd pretty well decided not to bother answering CL ads, but saw one a couple days ago for a few computer monitors. Emailed that I'd be interested but not if it was "1st there; 1st get". The posting got pulled and I hadn't gotten a call, so figured somebody else got them. Today, I got a call asking if I was still interested. Told him I was and this is what I got.

People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

Nice score! It's amazing how poorly a lot of the descriptions on CL are. "few computer monitors" ha ha ha.
If it wasn't for the $ in $crap, it would just be.....

That Camaro is a permanent fixture right where it is - about ten years now. I bought it new in '83 and it was my baby.

Rusty, I had to laugh, too. Just monitors - 70. Then there's other stuff that I don't even know what it is. One thing a guy who worked there (it was a government office upgrade) said is an automated telephone answering machine - weighs about 80#.

Well, today I figured out that one thing I didn't know what it was, is a "telephone dialer". Weighs 102 lbs. Filled with what looks like good cards - green on both sides. Anybody ever scrap one of these? Should I just start tearing it down?

You might be surprised how well some of that stuff will sell on ebay. I sold quite a few things there, a book binder, looked like new, bound up to several hundred pages, appx $800, A bunch of mail sorting equipment etc, all sorts of oddball stuff. Even though gov't offices replaced it with new, doesn't mean it's totally end of life, churches, smaller companies etc might be looking for just that thing.

also it being used gov't item is a selling plus. A lot of the computer equipment i'd sell was from NASA, and that point added to my sales as well

Couple more shots inside. I'm not really wanting to try selling it as a dialer. Not much call for the up here and transporting would be difficult (to say the least).
