    Is think I got a on going money maker

    My dad got a new Nabor that owns a auto body shop he told me I can all the hoods, fender, doors ect. But have a question there is a lot of plastics to I was gonna look in to recycling it for him but don't know what kind of plastic bumpers are and we're to take them.

    might cost more to get rid of the plastic bumpers than you'll make off the doors and hoods. just wonderin

    I have regular pick-ups from 2 collision repair shops, and I take all of their plastics also. I'm just saving it until I can find a good buyer for mixed b/c their is a lot of different plastics involved with these types of pick-ups. I'm still waiting to hear back from a company I've been talking too.

    Hypoman I would do that but I live in a apt so just may let him hold on to it till I find a place

    My recycle yard has a bin outside the gate for dropping off plastic. If you don't have the room to store it, you might want to see if your yard has one.

    I would have a conversation with him about the plastic. People appreciate it when you are up front with them. Let him know about your issues with the plastic and find out what he is doing with it now. Chances are he is just putting it in his dumpster for his weekly pickup and probably won't mind continuing to do that for a while.

    Here's some information I found on the subject. It appears that the recycling of bumpers is in the infancy stages. I just thought they were plastic but apparently they have to be stripped of paint, etc. One of those sites has a listing of companies that are recycling bumpers. Check it out as there may be a place near you.
