Ok, So i went to pick up a couple TVs off a c/l free ad. Person wasn't home. On my way out of the (fancier) neighborhood, I come across an estate sale sign. Follow, the arrows. It's raining and crappy, but the guys still got his garage open and tables set up. Well, either the dead guy didn't have much of an estate, or this was just the stuff left over. Theres a couple printers, and some keyboards, in a box for $10. Pass. Came across this small box for $1:
The 3 copper pieces on the right were in the box. I figured for a buck it couldn't hurt. What would the copper pieces be classified as?
Ok, onto the next box. A big box of phones for $2.50. Normally I wouldn't pay for phones, but I figure if I throw the guy a few bucks and my phone number, I may get more later, for less. Get the box home and dig through it, a few power cords, and this old camera...any value? And the ethernet router was buried in there
Ok, time to go pay. Right by his pay table he had 3 long tables of electrical goodies. I pick up a box of motors labled $4 and offer a buck. He comes back with $2. Figured I could at least make my money back. He tells me he'd sell me everything for $20. Problem for me is, I didn't recognize alot of stuff on the tables, it was pretty old. Plus i didn't have $20 on me. I told him I'd pass on the lot, but gave him my name and number and told him to call me and let me know what was left after the sale and maybe we could work something out.
So, total investment was $5.50. I know alotta people wouldn't buy the stuff, or offer to take it all at the end, but I figured I had an extra $5 and maybe tomarrow i'll get a call and get a decent deal on the rest...
