From here it looks like brass. Just sold one at 7.5 feet. It weighed about 12 lbs. I over paid and sold it on Cl.with a stop light. Got the stop light for free. Sold the 2 items together for 85.00

looks brass to me, my father-in-law got a 6 ft section on a job one day, i told him to set it aside because it was worth more than scrap, he took it apart anyway so i had to put it back together, i wound up selling it to a guy building a home bar for $50.

It looks like curtain rail. But it isn't

    Watch for that curtain rail.
Its actually a long strip of steel thats been 'rolled' into a tube, as they roll it into shape, they also 'roll' onto it a strip of thin brass shim.
Then as the final 'roll' happens, it closes up the gap trapping the edges of the brass shim over the steel tubing.

That gives it a covering of brass.

The 'giveaway' is to look at the end of the tubing & you get to see the two ends of the shim inside the tube, and the rust in the inside, and the magnetic ability....
Looks like brass, bend it over your knee & the seam opens up & the shim moves off the steel.

I don't see much of it, just something I saw once when I was 14.
