They had someone who could take away the ewaste for them (a company) and they brought an untold number of potential customers onto their lot to at least get a look at their cars. If your landlord would not mind you could try a 1 day drop-off at your location with a nice sign out front beforehand. You better have all your ducks in a row before hand so if anyone comes around asking questions you can tell them exactly where everything is going so it doesn't end up in the landfill. It's just like Goodwill taking all that electronic stuff, they have a national company that is paying them like $.02-.03 lb for all their electronics. Their bringing in new customers (potential) and getting good advertising for it (even here) and maybe even a grant from the government for the recycling part.
