    Boards NEXT

Realizing I can get .20 for TV boards is such a relief as now I am cleaning up my area.
I see on the bulk open market CBM runs as high as .90 a LB . I figure thats for massive amounts. I guess the yards use them as filler along with the good CBM .
    Next are my computer boards

That's a good price for low grade. Is it one of your area yards?

Sold low grade two weeks ago for .30 and got .23 for CBM whats up with that? Not going to strip low grade of anything other than the bigger aluminum heatsinks. Person can get a lot of time stripping those boards, now I can spend the time doing something else.

I live in the NY area Upstate near Binghamton ny -
See here is the (MY) story Once i brought in boards complete & they paid me as dirty Al cause AL was on it . I assumed thats what they paid for TV boards as I was new to scraping - any way that was the last time i sold it like that . I would take off AL then sell as Mix . But I had to sneak it in, as some yard guys said they did not want it - It's not like they told me to take it to metal shop to sell as CBM !!
Getting sick of passing off the item as mix i found a yard , from some advice from a member who would take the circuit boards @.17 . Then I realized OK back to my main yard (buyer) and they also take clean circuit boards @ .20 this week i sold about 300 LBs of TV boards . They must have more value some place else but who's going there.
I lost Lots of money selling as mix in the past
    ----------------------
landmine There must be a yard by you who will also take as CBM
Try to balance out you board load , see if you can add some juicy looking CBM to the pile , If you bring in the boards mixed with other CBM and just give it to them with confidence they might just take it . Not for nothing there is copper on the boards and more , I bet that CBM stuff is sold off to china or India after all these countries can use methods to recover with no EPA in there business

For me it's all about quantity. At my yard, the regular scrapper might bring in say, between 1-50lb of TV board, they get the regular .14 cents a pound. I bring in 2000-4500 pounds at a time, so i get about 40 cents a pound.

I guess if you can supply them, they're willing to pay you better to keep your business.

Thats a lot of boards more important a lot of TV's - to get rid of Like 80,000 lb of TV based on a average
40 lb per TV @ 2000 // cost money to get rid of that much weight
You know i can get rid of my amt at the Good will but I cant drop off 2000 TV's
I guess if you get big there are ways to deal .

So one would figure a tube processor must also have a way to earn money on the final part that is my nemesis

I saw on a INTERNET sight even the plastic shells worth .10 lb by me I can't find a buyer

Their is a market for tubes. You just have to have the facility and the EPA backing.
