    Thumbs down Night Scrapping

Just got done hitting a few neighborhoods tonigght that i thought would've been good scores, needless to say that wwill be the last time i ever go out at night. I couldnt see a darn thing and the one tv cord i went to get was already snipped. Besides not being able to see im assuming that other scrappers had already come thru so i dont know man...

Yeah, it's best to get your name out there with business cards and advertising...... driving around sucks up the gas..... I drive the alleys into town, and out of town.....never around town!

You need to invest in a flashlight. I always have one with me, 3 d cell maglight works great, powerful light and a good defensive weapon...lol.

If I lived near a neighborhood, I'd avoid after dark anyway, too much of that associated with stealing. Maybe an hour, or even 30 minutes prior to, up until dark, or after daylight begins

If I'm going to drive around, then I only go at night. I use the flashlight app on my cell. But it's best to find out when trash days for certain neighborhoods are. I have our all fig out, but then again I live in a town with only 6500 people

Its the nature of the beast Mstra, by the time you got out there other scrappers had been around by then I'm sure! however, that doesn't mean the next time you go out that there wouldn't be stuff out that you CAN see with your headlights. I carry a flashlight in my truck if my headlights don't show everything real well - lots of times there is stuff hiding behind garbage cans.

I have a routine on Sundays for the 2 cities I do that day, once out starting at 4pm - takes me 3 hours. Drop off stuff and go out the same route again at around 7 or 7:30. Plus, you never can guess what time folks put stuff out. Yardwork might mean they are behind or they just put it out in the morning.

Night scrapping is good becausether are fewer scrappers around. Also a lot less people to have to deal with.

If your not doing anything wrong you have nothing to worry about
