My husband works at a verrrrry nice country club and before he comes home on Tuesday nights he cruises the streets to look for stuff for me and then again when he goes in on Wednesday mornings.
So he comes home today and while he is offloading todays goodies he tells me a story.
As he was putting a tv in the back of the truck and getting back in a cop pulls up behind him and turns the lights on. He is thinking ''Oh crap'' while hooking his seat belt. I'm sure he's thinking he's gonna get a ticket or something and probably ''I'll never scrap for her again!''
The cop pulls up next to him and rolls down his side window and says, ''Hey - if you go over to such and such a street there is a lawn mower and
microwave. You just never know what these rich people will throw away!'' and pulls away.
This was hubby - *PHEW!* and ''Did that cop just help me out here??''
So scrapping for me is still on his list and I'm sure he wouldn't admit it but I'm sure he was just a little bit scared!!
He snagged a lawn mower, microwave, AC, weed eater, air compressor, some metal siding or shelving of some sort. a sweeper and some other little odds and ends. He was just as surprised as I was that there was still so much stuff left to get because trucks drive through there all the time.
I got him trained goooooood
