First I got a call from my printer/copier guy and he had 4 more of the 400 lb machines for me and to be there at 8 to pick them up. no problem fitting him into my rounds! lol.
Before i picked those up I went out with my mom and filled up my truck
twice with stuff and got flagged down by a couple who see me driving around every week. lady ran down the driveway barefoot to catch me! My truck was full but they told me to pull in the drive and I could re-arrange my truck while they got the metal from their garage that they gave me, it was a bunch of metal pipes left over from a previous owner. Sweet!
Home to drop off that load and grab my brother to go help load up the copiers. This guy is such a nice guy and I kind of spent more time then I wanted chatting but hey, he's a keeper and you never know when he may pass on a good word so I gave him a couple of my flyers just in case! Before I closed my truck door he hollers out do they take burned up motors? yepper! He gave me a pool motor also! After we loaded all that up and were driving around that particular neighborhood for the 3'd time just in case anything new had been put out another guy flagged me down and quipped, ''Are you picking up copiers or scrap?'' Lol, ''I am picking up both sir!'' he tells me wait here I have some stuff for you. He goes to the garage and loads up a wagon full of heavy metal brackets and a bunch of other electrical goodies that were full of copper/wire etc. Yay!! Gave him one of my flyers also.
Preceded to fill my truck to the brim, we even had to put stuff in the cab of my truck. At this point I have all three of my straps holding stuff down.
Go unload that load and go out with my dad for the 4th and final round. As we go down a street I have been flagged down on before a guy flags me down that is the brother to the guy that flagged me down previously. ''Got some boxes of stuff for you.'' Nice!!
I have come to the conclusion that I am starting to set myself apart from other scrappers in my area. I am polite and ask, I don't make a mess, I smile, I wave and I always say thank you of course and I don't drive like a banshee through the streets like I've seen some of the guys do. maybe one of them looked out a window one day and saw me tightening up the leftover garbage after I took the scrap stuff and thought to themselves ''Hey, thats pretty nice, the other scrappers don't do that.'' I also think my way makes a big difference from the folks that ''smash and grab'' and destroy property because I have been told those stories too and I always assure them I'm not like that and I appreciate you giving me your stuff.
I have toughened up physically since I started doing this but Sunday night kicked my butt and its been a while since scrapping kicked my butt that hard. I still have so much stuff left over in my dads garage that I didn't get processed that his big tractor is completely immobilized until its done and both vices (both are holding mower engines for more break down) and work benches are out of the picture for him too and all my non ferrous buckets are packed in around it too where I could find room!

I broke down from midnight when we got home and took 800 lbs of steel in first thing when they opened and preceded to break down another 500 before going home. I never even turned in any of the non ferrous I couldnt hardly move any more and have so much left to do yet. I brought some home to work on but have to fit it in my other routes. You dont even wanna know the amount of garbage i brought to MY house after putting some out at theirs - a whole truck full!! I know the garbage man was banging his head on the steering wheel when he came around the corner and saw my yard!!

I fell asleep Monday night after being up over 24 hours straight scrapping/breaking down and haven't slept that good in ages!
I am the scrapping queen and I am making a difference!! oh yeah, and kicking butt!!
