I've started picking up e-waste from the school corporation, the one that is in the county seat and here are some pics. I have two more pick-ups tomorrow.

good haul! I deal with a lot of schools. One of the things they allow me to do is leave a 55 gal plastic drum on site. I encourage them to do some "electronics decluttering" and ask others to go through closets, drawers, classroom shelves, look for old wire, chargers, cat5, etc... and just toss it all in. Not one has thought it a bad idea! not one has come back without a pile of stuff, or a full cart, next to it. That barrel is my presence to them in my absence! Anytime they need metal hauled, or labs cleaned of equipment, they call and I haul! ;-) I never lose contact as long as that barrel is on site. Does not matter to me if they call in 2 weeks or 2 months, what I know...is they WILL! CALL! BroJer

You could also stencil your company name on the barrel, can you say "free advertising"? Can you imagine how many people would pass by the barrels??

Congratulations on the haul and as far as the truck goes, you have plenty of room inside for the toolboxes and other important stuff. It won't "grow legs" and walk off inside,, cool. It sure looks better than Snodley's first truck. Every time we'd slam the door a spot of rust would fall off. lol Is that a 6.2 diesel?

yea...KIDS and GUM and CANDY WRAPPERS! lol Most schools have a room for storage of the electronics that are broken or outdated. When I offer to leave a barrel, as a "convenience" for them, I offer take it to where their storage area is. Usually gets me a look around, and I prefer that the barrels are out of sight to kids, but where staff will see them or become aware of them. A simple business card taped near the top ring is sufficient.
Now, that is not to say that I do not have stencils for some barrels ;-) For me, this way works in schools and private business's. It may be different for someone else.
