    Welding cable recovery rate

Got a call from a guy I've gotten several loads from in the past. He's cleaning out his deceased in-law's house and giving me first dibs on anything metal. Today's load included about 400 pounds of copper wiring of which approx 250 pounds is 4/0 welding cable from Brunswick Naval Shipyard. I cut a 1' section and came up with 7/8 lb. Stripped, it came to 6/8 lb for a recovery rate of 85.7%.

People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

Wow! That is great, one does not find copper wire like that very often. Nothing but money!
