is it possible to break these down?
is it possible to break these down?
Yes. Make sure to remove all steel and plastic. You should get brass price for them once you get them cleaned. Check to make sure if they contain SS.
I break everything down so I know if it makes sense for me to. Some things just take too much time. I am a part timer and I have more time to work on breaking down items than the ability to pick heavy items. Mike.

Now go beat the copper out of something, Miked
those can be tricky. i have had to use two pipe wrenches at times to get them apart. cutting is the last resort, but it always ends up working out
We're the renegades of Junk!
If you don't what to brake them down or if it takes to much time then just hit them with a grinder to show the brass and throw it in with dirty brass. I allways try to brake them down first.
Yeah, I will always break down all faucets and inside plumbing fixtures. You get a lot of yellow and white brass that way, also, some copper, I have run into a bit of stainless steel as well.... I said i would break down all, hrm I guess I should add that i don't break down the all plastic faucets, just the ones with the " goodies " attached "
It's kind of nice to take a truck load of 5 gallon buckets of brass to the yard. I mean on a good day, that would pay for a modest vacation for two.
