If you have a bunch of wire with a lot of gummy stuff on it, what would be the best way to take it off? This is not very much, and not thick at all. I was thinking of soaking it in vinegar overnight since I have gallons of that.

Someone recommended using toilet bowl cleaner. Works great but wear rubber gloves and don't get any on your hands. Rinse the wire well.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

vinigar works well depending on what the gunk is.

If the gummy stuff is tar like, then paint thinner works well.
If it wasn't for the $ in $crap, it would just be.....

If its like tape gum, use WD-40. Then rinse with Windex or something like it.
But, I agree. Why clean it. Unless you are going for Bare Bright, just not worth the time or supplies.
