Actually it looks rather compact for a comfortable living quarters, but I'd think it might do well as a tour boat or private charter if there's a demand for such things. I'd paint that engine room white too, lights it up a lot
    Also...
I'd loose the "bag of cats" remark, maybe that would sound funny around a campfire with some drinkin buddies, but not likely a great sales line
"Inner Hull Does Not Leak" ?? What about the outer one??
"Last haul out was three years ago, so she needs the bottom paint renewed." ?? You gotta paint the BOTTOM of that thing every three years?
Sorry about your disability, but was it a surprise that it happened in 3 years, as in an accident or something ? Not my business (or the forums) but sounds rather sketchy at best as a sales pitch

I was well into your description before I started scrutinizing anything, and didn't go back through it

Has nothing to do with your ad, but as I was reading the initial comments I began to wonder if placing it with a professional auctioneer might not be a bad idea

I was already watching that sale on E-Bay. I just wish it was on the East coast. You can always find a large old boat pretty cheap because of the cost of ownership. As mentioned before you can't jsut grab a torch and start cutting. There were a few Candaian Minesweepers for sale a while back (I thing about 125 ft long or so). They had been mothballed and were in fair condition. The superstructure was aluminum, they were wood with aluminum frames and had lots of brass and copper. Boats could have been purchased for less that $10k each. A marine scrapper finally bought them...

that tugboat would make a cool house / guest house. Probably gut enough scrap from the interior to cover the the transportation costs.
I buy and sell all types of scrap and escrap. I buy specialty and hard to sell escrap. I buy resale items. PM me or contact me at jghilino@hotmail.com
I AM ACTIVELY BUYING ESCRAP OF ALL TYPES. BOARDS, RAM, CPUS AND MUCH MORE

tugs are specially built for power not speed Im sure you could sell the power units transmissions, screws etc for enough to pay for transportation.

If they added 3ft on each side that's 6ft total, with a 24ft beam, minus 6ft only leaves 18ft inside. Is there any way to calculate live-able space?
Didn't you first say there was 180 ton? The Ebay ad says 65?
Also I didn't see any reference to draft, that could be important for anyone wishing to tow it into a shallower area

Is that "12x21" open upper deck the one that's taken up almost entirely with the boom? That doesn't look extremely inviting for a party. I wonder if it would sell better separately, and if a homeowner really needs a loading boom on their deck anyway.

Also it might be of interest to some, knowing where it was built, I saw the Atlas, but no real town
