At least take the gas motors off and drain the gas and oil out and sell them as irony aluminum. That is if your going to scrap them. Also look for any aluminum on the scooters. Or if you want you could try to find somebody that would buy them as is for more than scrap.

I asked because I have a nice collection of mopeds. Sometimes people call them scooters. Unless they're completely rusted out, they are never worth scrapping instead of parting out.

Take the motors off, attach them to your bike and make yourself a motorized bicycle. sell that for more than the scooter.
