stainless steel on fridge doors/strange copper wire

is it worth doing just the doors are they difficult to get the stainless off of and how thick/heavy is the stainless you get from both the doors? i dont do fridges i did one once too much work for the small amount of copper the foam is crap i hate it makes a mess. im not sure how big the fridge is if that matters or not. lets say stainless is .60 per pound how much would you get? i also got some copper wire i think its called braided or twisted wire cause when i took it out of the casing it was all together and it had a clamp or something on one end wich was screwed in but it was rusted so i had to cut it off lost some wire not sure what it was from something old from the looks of it the casing was pretty big had trouble using my box cutter and no stripper would work not ur normal casing maybe it was to something industreal anyone know what the wire is called or even from?

    fridge doors

Most stainless fridge doors are ferrous and you will not get stainless price. Unless you have a commercial deep freezer don't bother.

    just do the magnet test
if it sticks- the yard will not pay you the s/steel rate-just plain steel

and if it dont stick- then u know its going to be accepted as s/steel.

im getting 4 fridges next week
so im in a similar position.

I scrapped a small stainless unit. Put the door on the curb to see if I had competition in the neighborhood. It was gone in less than 1/2 hour.
You can make money 2 ways.
    1 - Do what others won't.

You should do a trial run and see. Then you will know if it is worthwhile or not.
