It depends on the yard, and what they do with the scrap. There is a lot of difference between what they pay you, and what they are getting for the boards. Some scrap yards sell to larger scrap yards, some represent their material and have it processed by a refiner, and still others are the refiner themselves. Some of them are managed better than others.
If it were me, I would pay less for boards without the gold fingers. Just one lb of fingers could yield anywhere from 1-4 grams of gold. So it does affect the action value of the material. But if the scrap yard is paying you the same with or without the gold fingers, I would take the time and remove them, you can sell them to a refiner here, or on
ebay for extra money.
