a couple tips i have found

1 some scrap yards will take copiers as appliances if you remove the toner and green board
2 always remove the removable ic chips from motherboards usually will increase profit and wont lower board price
3 high grade boards can be found in places you wouldn't think to look
4 just because it expensive does not mean its worth a lot in scrap
5 don't forget many items also have a vintage value
6 if your not sure ask
7 removing heat sinks and large caps and transformers from green power boards usually raise there price
8 everything has a value to someone

if this helped at least 1 person it was worth my time

All the yards I have used buy appliances as shred at .085#. What do you get for appliances? Any time I remove IC chips from higher grade boards it always reduces the value of the board.

I get 7 cents a lb for appliences .but the scrap yard is 5 miles away .also 1 it depends on the board.but im only talking about the removable ones .not the ones soldered on .every motherboard usually has one or two on there.they usually just pop off with a flat head . .I have never had a issue with it
