Bunn Coffee Maker Teardown

Never posted a teardown thread before, but got my first coffeemaker the other day.

Removing the screws around the housing (many of the screws are stainless) and taking off the stainless top reveals some copper and brass.

Free up the water reservoir, with a heavy aluminum cylinder and stainless (probably) top

A heating element inside the aluminum reservoir and aaaaaackkkkk a lot of funky looking mineral deposits. No wonder your coffee tastes like.... not coffee

Finish separating steel from stainless in the rest of the housing. Not many nuts were used, mostly stainless clips.

At the end - Steel, stainless, aluminum, irony aluminum burners, a heating element, wire, copper and brass

oops, and another piece of the stainless housing, the largest piece that I set behind me while finishing the disassembly, and did not notice until everything else was piled into a bin.
