Sartorious paint terminal break down . What's behind the glass ?

Here is some more food for thought to anyone who knows people in the car painting business or perhaps has a location upgrading their equipment or cleaning house . The sartorious paint terminal looks like not much all wrapped in its steel shell.

But underneath that heavy outer shell lies a nice 10 lb cast aluminum wrap around the very lightweight LCD screen.

Here is it separated into it's three main components . Top half of cast with glass, LCD screen, 7lb clean cast panel

But wait there is more . Underneath you will find some interesting boards . About a pound a unit

I wanted to point these out . The hate on tvs may make you not look twice at anything with a screen . This is further proof that tearing into something new can be knowledgeable and profitable . I tore these down with a flathead and a Alan key . I would recommend a impact to speed up volume . Also some nice gold pins, lil wire and more boards on the backs of the lcds . I finished with about 300 lbs cast . Bunch of stainless pieces and a few 100 pounds of steel . I did 30 in a day .

The scales and terminals have insane resale value but these were damaged by water so that was not a option.
Just remember to research before you tear down , could save some time and make more without touching a tool.

did you check to see if any value as a PARTS machine??? water damaged or not, many parts like those boards still survive...and things like the keys etc can be reused...granted these are heavy and maybe not worth it, but ANY smart phone I get, even if water damaged gets a quick check on Ebay...I have sold MANY for FAR more than the $5/lb I can get for bulk cell phone scrap....

Just bringing it up...even water damaged stuff can be resold...
PROFIT is made when you BUY/ACQUIRE NOT when you sell

I researched as much as I could , all I found was the paint scales new on ebay for $1000 granted that was new in the box .
The terminals alone are 40+ lbs each so shipping was not going to happen . I purchased them as scrap and intended to do so to free up the investment and clear some space . I have friends in the auto field that could test out equipment for me in the future and help line up buyers for the working items .

Thanks for the advice thou .funny a 9 yo saw my flip phone the other day and said "they still make thos ? "
