    Portable Floor Heater Dismantle

Here is the guide to breaking down a portable floor heater...

Step 1: Pull if the metal guard (this picture shows it pulled off) Once that is off grab the heating frame and pull it out... (need to cut a few wires, youll see them when you lift the heating frame out...

Step 2: Cut out the motor... its usally held down with two screws, mine where flat heads, once the screws come out, lift the motor right out and open the case...

Step 3: here is your open motor. Cut the wire out however you want. (grinder works best to cut the frame into 4 parts)

Personally I'd say just pull out the motor and scrap it as an electric motor, but if you figure its worth the time... here's how

The fasia's probably sheet Ali, the bits around the 'volume control' are probaby Brass and if you make one slice directly into the end of each Copper loop you could pull them out since theres no varnish insulation holding them in.
If there is, slice the end off the loop flat with the side of the Iron core and use a punch an hammer to punch them out.

When using a grinder to cut those loops, use the standard 3mm thick cutoff discs, the ultrathin ones don't have the sideways strength to hold together and break/ crack around the boss, dangerous. 3mm's cheaper anyway, it removes a little more Copper though, hence the try and do it with one cut per loop approach.
