Dismantling tires from aluminum rims

I save all discarded carbide blades that fit my table and skill saw for scrap type jobs, for instance a short video cutting the bead from a tire mounted on aluminum rim.

Much quicker than sawsall and saves on blades. The blade I now have in the saw has some rubber vulcanizing onto the sides slowing it down a bit.

My yard buys aluminum rims with tire for a set price. Without tire, the price is about $1.00 more, but don't have to deal with taking the tire off this way. May want to check yards to have a better decision with this.

(They do not buy steel rims with tires on it though)

I have only did two & used a angle grinder to cut thru the tire beads.

Someone else said they use a axe to break up part of the Ali rim & then thread the tire bead thru the gap, sounds easyer.
