Breaker boxes with breakers

Today I found some Siemens 5 foot long electrical breaker boxes. The have about 40 20 amp breakers in them all nice, neat and pretty. Also one has a big block of copper 1/2 inch thick by 1x2. Could I sell the whole box on ebay? I think the front covers are missing. Also maybe just sell the breakers? Did a search and it seems some breakers sell good. Discuss. Thanks. pics tomorrow.

i scrapped two of them, so i guess i couldnt help you with the ebay advice. i'll scrap anything

I found about 4 covers and two empty boxes Scrapped them. They weighed about 45 lbs alone.

I've had some luck selling good condition ones. They are not cheap to buy new. Especially the larger, higher amperage services. If you do scrap them, make sure to get all of the copper out.

I found some big contacts also in a smaller box. Gonna save those for the silver. Do the breakers have contacts?

anything with a switch in it will have a contact......but not all contact are silver.

Alot of breakers do have silver contacts. Smash em with a hammer. There's also brass inside. I picked up close to 300 breakers from an electrician one time.
