It sounds like he is an employee of the yard, but, in my experience, if you walk in with cash in hand and know how to haggle and have a truck ready to take it away, a scrap yard will sell you anything. Unfortunatly though not all are like this and sometimes because you are not a business they will charge you tax. They may also try to stick it to you because they think you don't know the prices so research research research lol
