This is one of those things that I had to admit defeat on, because I just couldn't think of a tool that would get that precious copper out. Sure, there's not much in there, but every little bit helps
me Plus it would make me sad to have to add this to my "mixed steel" pile, when it's worth more separated.
The copper shown is the frustrating type that is glued together, much like what you get out of CRT monitors - and as you can see, is very hard to snip through (compounded by the fact that it's wrapped around those green plastic rods). It's just sitting here taunting me, so if someone knows the trick, I'm all ears. I do not have access to a sledgehammer, and there are no removable screws to work with here. I have no idea how they got this thing together!
