Just curious what's the smallest size wire you guys will strip? For me personally I wouldn't strip any smaller then 12/14 gauge, which is probably small for alot of people .

I have alot of time on my hands, so I'll strip any size wire if it has copper in it.
Me too. If I find something is too much of a pain to strip, I'll set it aside for a day where I have nothing else to do. Same thing with the small transformers and stuff like that. I strip them down too for the copper.
I'm also someone who likes to experiment. So I'm trying to think of a way to make the small wires easier to strip. I'm sure I'll come up with something, and if I do I'll let you folks know.
Same here. Strip everything, including small transformers. I've also found a way to remove copper from transformers without burning
I'll grab any wire and hit it with my strippers. If it doesn't want to cooperate, I either set it in the insulated wire bin or I set it aside to hit again when I get bored. I went through a time where I would create blisters on my hands trying to strip really uncooperative wire - those days are long gone. I would much rather strip solid wire than THHN but I don't find near as much solid wire, unfortunately.
Ditto. I have a wire stripper that will strip insulation from "earbuds".. Doubt if I will got THAT far though :-)
Hey, don't knock it. I've stripped wire from earphone cords before. I've also stripped wires from a broken Wii sensor bar. Those are tiny... almost need a magnifying glass to see what you're doing. If it strips easy, I'll strip any size wire. Any. My problem is making sure all the tiny little wires make it into the #1 Copper bin - and not the floor.
What kind of stripper do you have? is it one of the ones on ebay?
If it is not easy to strip them, why not take other measures like making them into granules.
That metalrecyclingmachine guy is only trying to sell his granulator, and most of his posts are a thinly veiled attempt at advertising. Besides, for most of us it isn't a good idea. I doubt copper granules would fetch as good a price as #2, from what I recall reading on this forum.
