I have several semi truck drive axles to scrap. I've separated the brake drums, but am wondering if I need to remove the brake shoes in order to be paid top dollar?
Thanks!

Im sure the yard will want them drained, they dont like buying oil.
As far asbreaking them down further, for me it would depend on how they were being loaded and unloaded, if I'm loading / unloading by hand, i would take them as far apart as I can.
If I have machinery to load / unload leave them whole.
Oh and welcome, now go introduce yourself.
My yard took them with the brake shoes on.
Axles had been drained of oil before I got them, and were unloaded by the yard.
Thanks for the input.
