I will definitely try and limit the amount of non-metal I turn in at the yard, but if a mag sticks, I can't think of a better filler.

I could't agree more. If they can down grade my stainless to shred because a magnet stuck lightly to it, they can take stuff that sticks hard to a magnet. When I do tv yokes I beat them in an empty computer case. Once it starts to get full I top it of some other small shred items, throw the cover back on and there you go, a nice compact 60 - 100 pound unit.
