I put the yoke in a large metal dishpan and smack it around with the side of a 3# hammer. Most of the stuff crumbles away, then I will peel leftover tape and goob off trying to get most of it off. Should take a couple of minutes at most and then into the #2 bucket it goes. Dump out junk and repeat.
