Well from the pics I don't see 150 towers that's a big swing 100-150 its a long way to travel for a pick up witch they really don't care about they want to know what they are going to get, I would low ball them say 400.00 for the lot as long as there is at least 100 towers, its a nice score do not seam to anxious see what they say about your offer they might just tell you ok come get them.you can always come up if you want.

What if the business have their own Purchase orders, fill one out with just the title of recycling computer or something and leave the total blank and give me a copy, would you guys proceed to their destination then? Or is that still not good enough?

I just offered 425-450, I'm going to check each individual pc to see what components it has. If there isn't near the amount of 100 to 150. I'm going to charge him atleast 80 bucks off of the total that it comes out too, with the 100-150 quote I sent, I only took off 50 bucks for gas as I calculated the mileage, the vehicle we would be taking, would be my dads 2010 Chevy Express 2500, it would get 13mpg pulling our trailer. I calculated it, a round trip cost would be $72 at $3.5 a gallon for gas. I'd be benefitting if there was 100 towers so I can spare the extra $22 bucks if he has what he says he has.

If this pulls through, this will be my biggest load yet, probably the much better score, I don't know about topping the $1000 worth of printers I pulled out of staples dumpster, since I didn't invest anything in them, but this will be my first big E-waste load.

I would pay $400 for that lot. Offer that and if they balk at that go to $450. With travel and distance I wouldnt go a penny over $500 and you should be fine. Specialy with the laptops. If you send them to randy at ROK you will make out very well. They look like dell 600 series. The switches if your willing to sell on ebay should make you some good money too.

I'd use caution on a lump sum, unless it was made while standing there ready to load. Otherwise, once the lump sum is agreed upon, the longer it sits until you get there, the more apt "things" could possibly begin to "dissappear"

When I offer a lump sum, I make it contingent on the fact everything is there I was told was there. If it's not, the price is no longer valid an I start deducting. An yes..I check my towers.

It may piss someone off but, I figure..you told me there would be 70 towers, with ram and HDs. I get there and find out there isn't then you pissed me off, wasted my time, and tried to hoodwink me. So therefore I deduct at that point. They don't like it, they can find another buyer. Lie to me and you've broken your word an therefore I don't have to honor said offer.

    Yea..I'ma jerk like that.

Edited to add: This is why I ask questions over the phone. Is the ram there? HDs? MB? etc. It saves a lot of problems, lest for me.

Yeah the guy told me that the hard drives are there and everything, I gave him a price for the towers basically saying that everything is there. When I get there, I'm going to go through the load, checking and counting. I ain't getting screwed.

Id put a $400 value on that lot, so heres how i would play it, tell the seller $300 after looking over the lot and acting like your not impressed with it, if the seller sees that your interested the price goes up so its best to just act ho hum about it, so you tell them $300 and they will immediatly say ok, if they dont say ok just say thanks and start waling out the door, thats when they will come back with $350 and immediately you say ok, then you get it for less than your target price
I buy and sell all types of scrap and escrap. I buy specialty and hard to sell escrap. I buy resale items. PM me or contact me at jghilino@hotmail.com
I AM ACTIVELY BUYING ESCRAP OF ALL TYPES. BOARDS, RAM, CPUS AND MUCH MORE

Guy replied back to me saying he likes my prices. He didnt like my gas charge. He said let me know if u want the job. I waved my gas charge Cruz I'll make it back in the towers. I pretty much got this deal in the bag.
