    couple more board questions...

Am I missing anything of significant value to remove from this board? Pictures were fuzzy, I know. I was curious about these red and green caps. I should have taken a picture of the bottom of one I cut off... it looked like a darker metallic block with two lighter metallic blocks on the ends.

Also, is this still considered the silver Mylar, from laptops?

    Thanks again guys.

One last thing... are the round ceramic caps worth pulling, or any other monolithic caps?

Bottom is mylar of some kind. Cant' say laptop, but seems about right. I don't deal with a lot of laptops tho. Most of my mylar comes from standard tower keyboards, an other fun places!

Good luck on the rest of the boards, smarter minds then me will check in I'm sure.

I asked the question about the keyboard mylars a few months ago on one of the buyers threads on here.

I am no where near selling any mylar right now, I just want to make sure someone pays for it before I pull it from any more laptops I strip.
Those should work. I just can't use the ones with the black dots over all the traces, or the contact spots.

Boards look low end of mid grade to me. Not much on them, maybe a few tantalum caps and a few i/c chips. Since I cant figure which are Ta and which arent dont take my word for it.

Yea black dots on the mylar is bad for the buyers as I understand it, or at lest the process their using. Bump has mentioned it before, not sure if that's cause of his process or just in general.

Mylar always makes me happy. Silver, gold, or copper. I ain't picky.

    couple more board questions...

came out of a telephone box.

I was mostly curious about those silver things with red and yellow ends and the square caps.

already pulled the hot air balloon ta caps

there appears to be black tracing around the silver. I'll probably pm bump racer. he's close to me anyways

Edit: forgot the pic of the Orange one

It's carbon if I recall correctly. Talks about it in his thread. or in one of them on mylar.

Good fella that Bump. Good to double check with him, or whatever buyer you decide on.

I thought those boards look liked telephone ones, the speaker is what made me think of it.
