Got 7 of these boards, didn't know if there was anything worth pulling... the caps have positive sides, and the transistor has a part # of 2n3791 7839, the other one's are all similar to these two

I picked up something old with circa telecom on it, there are a ton of surge protection modules on them, my research says gold plated, but it looks like it might be brass under them?



I broke one apart to see what it's made up of.
"Circa telecom ct3b1e bal" I think I got about 100 of them plus the socket array for all of them. Time to get a gold tester?

I think four of the pins are gold-plated and one (the ground) is solder-plated. Here's a spec sheet: http://www.circaent.com/assets/Telec...ule-Series.pdf
I didn't notice anything on this spec sheet about gold plating, but I did see it in a technical requirements document.

Is there a manufacturer name on any of the old boards/cards in your first post? The capacitors are aluminum electrolytic capacitors. Those black brackets on the transistors are heat sinks, and they're aluminum. The boards are old -- you can see the traces were put down by hand.

I found that .pdf last night, I just sent them an email, we'll see if they respond.

There are several types of 100 Pair Protection Panels. Do you want 110 style or 66? Do you require a cover?

Both the BET Panel and the 5 Pin Modules are gold plated. The 5th pin on the modules (ground) is tin.


Line Gold Pin ......................Ni 100u + 3-4 u Gold Plating
GND Tin Pin........................Ni 100u + 200u Tin Plating
