    P4 - 775 Mobo

My buyer has a new category P4-775 motherboards. Previously it was just P3 & older and P4 motherboards. Most likely the 775 refers to the cpu socket. Does anyone have a photo they could post? Or can anyone tell me how to tell them apart from other P4's?

Easiest way to tell, is they have that metal cage that flips open to hold the cpu.

How does the buyer have them priced out? Little higher/lower than P4?

We purchase laptop computers and many components for greater than scrap value. We offer a shipping reimbursement program.replies

Here is a socket 775 Motherboard:

Here is the older Socket 478:

Basically, the Socket 478 had the connector pins on the CPU. The Socket 775 (And Newer Intel Sockets) has the pins on the motherboard instead. AMD machines still use a Socket-478 type layout.

    Hopefully this helps a bit...
