    Gold connectors

    I have searched before and can't seem to find the answer. Are the ends of ribbon wire (the connectors) are those the gold connectors people buy? If not what is and are those connectors wotth anything besides ribbon wire weight.

    And also here’s a good rule that holds true MOST of the time. Not all the time, but most…

    Does your “end” connect data? Example: Cat5, USB, etc. Likely gold connector
    Does your “end” connect power? Example: Two/three-prong plug, plastic ends from a PC power supply, etc. Likely not a gold connector

    I agree with the above and also and I think there is 1 or 2 buyers of the ribbon conn. and about every buyer buys the gold ends.

    When you look at the pic's #3 and #4, I have seen them with gold and without.
