    silver oxide coin size battery

I just received a 5 gallon bucket full of assorted button cell and coin sized batteries. I know the ones that have silver oxide printed on them are 35 percent silver. I am having trouble identifying the other silver oxide batteries.
    Can anyone help me?

Are you sure about the silver percentage? Below is from Wikipedia:

A silver-oxide battery (IEC code: S) is a primary cell with a very high energy/weight ratio. Available either in small sizes as button cells (where the amount of silver used is minimal and not a significant contributor to the product cost),

Check the buyer section for Relectrocycle. Jack buys the silver oxide batteries and should be able to help you with identification. You will probably have to email him as he's very busy, but he does answer his email.

Aren't they paying around $30/lb? I think that would be worth it to me. I thinnk theres another buyer that pays a % of spot price of silver per pound

checkout my buyers thread for my link to a pretty good list of them.

Most likely what you got was a fire hazard waiting to happen.

    good luck on the sorting.

I am sure most are lithium button ones. And etack is correct fire hazard. any batteries I am saving or shipping I tape the ends. Heck I even put masking tape on the alkaline ones I put in with my steel... If you do have silver oxide ones they are worth some $.
