    FINALLY FOUND a 486

I guess by the number of post I have you all can tell I don't post very often, but boy do I read a lot.
After collecting nearly 20 pounds of CPU's I found A 486. but the next day I got 2 of the intel overdrive cpu's. they are bigger and heavier the 486. If the pictures load ok you will see by my scales the 486 weighs in at .8. the overdrive cpu weighs in at 1.2. And today I got the Apple Power Mac G3

Since it's your first you should keep it and hang it on the wall or something. I have my first Pentium Pro still in the mother board hanging on my bedroom wall. I keep telling my Wife I'm going to frame it.

Ryanw...... of course more cowbell......that's the only cure.

OH Gus now I'm confused - I searched the part number on the CPU and it came up as APPLE XPC750FIP266CF POWER MAC G3 (DESKTOP) 266MHz CPU.

Yeah Jimicrk I thought of that when I found it. I taped to the framed 1st dollar I made scrappin.

    Thanks for all the comments

all i remember is the powermac g5 came in a HEAVY aluminum case...made more money on that than the cpu...the powermac g3 is different though...i always save at least 1 or 2 of any good cpu i get..my first double sided intel premium gold cap...a beautiful thing
