Sort them by gold plated, copper, and other.
Last I looked, gold plated plugs go for about $0.25 per pound, however the price is dependent on types of plugs.

I didn't find any that seemed to be copper. I'm hoping they are all plated. Is that what they are called? connectors?

I'm betting 40 gallons is not enough to get a bump in the price. I think I will try to eBay them. I used to sell boards on eBay when gold was peeked and the bidding was fantastic. I still have a pallet of hard drives with all the logic boards attached but done feel like stripping them. (I used to strip and separate every piece down to separating the tiny stainless screws from the non stainless screws. those scores were tiny)
