Motorola Minitor II fire service pager, gold content?

Got 25 of these at a local auction for a dollar. Tried to sell on eBay but no luck. When I dismantled them, it appears to be more "gold" in there than I expected. Do ya'll think all these gold colored bits are plated or just the battery contacts.

The corrosion gives them away as brass. Some contacts may be gold plated. There are some tantalum capacitors it appears. You might be able to get them to midgrade if you get rid of some junk on them.

    Most likely yellow brass.
Electroplated gold is used for electrical contact points, and sometimes tracing.

As far as value - those boards could be worth over $2 /lb if all the heavy junk was removed. Judging just from the pictures provided, probably worth $0.30 - $0.60 /lb the way they are.
A buyer in these forums may offer a bit more if ya ask around with some better pictures of the pagers and the boards inside.

So.... 25 pagers is gonna have, what, 1 pound of boards all total?

Seems like a lot of work for little fiduciary return.

Educational, definitely, but not a jackpot.
