look at the computer parts identification thread under the "Dismantling, Breaking Down & Maximizing Scrap" forum this should answer all your questions

Also, how do you get the processor off of this board.

The first looks like a mother board. The picture is not clear to me but looks like a lot of memory. I might be mistaken. The next two photos are a pci board.
I don't use Flicker so don't know how to down load frorm them. I use photobucket and its easy. Someone will be by to assist you. In the mean time check out this link.

Thanks pizzaman55792, Identification is harder with older computers.

Looking back to my original post i realize that i was really vague. I know the first pic is a mother board but there are 10 slots which i assume are all types of ram. There is no processor on the board, so i was assuming it must be the slot-type. The other two pics were the only two boards that were slotted into the mother board.

One thing to keep in mind is the fact that MAC is a lot different than a PC. Their version of a processor will not usually resemble what most of us refer to as a processor. For instance the picture below is a processor that I found in a Apple G5 system last week. Apple will throw a lot of people in this business....I console myself with the fact that this G5 had a huge copper/aluminum cooling system and that the case was 95% aluminum.

I have spent awhile trying to figure out the value of IC that can be unplugged verses un soldered from boards. So here is a method that I find helps me determine what that chip is worth.
1 google image search the number on the chip.
2 click through to the web site that has the pic in the google image search page.
3 check if the site is a sell site and how much they are selling the chip for
4 ebay search for the chip by the number and then by the description that I found on the seller site found through goggle image search.
Some are worth listing ne an each basis and others only as a lot.
Check sells on ebay
1 search for item
2 now select advanced search select completed listings search
3 now you ca sellect sold items
4 compare sold / completet item for an idea it it will sell IE 100 items completed 33 items sold = 30% chance that if you list that you will sell this item.

I have 2 of those processors from an apple g5. how much are they worth? They are pretty heavy. Would these be the same as a slot processor.

I didn't scrap the g5's I just bought the boards from one of my contacts. I bought this board that's pictured as a slot processor but realy didn't know what it was, I just toke a chance on it.
