    Just found this on wiki
Griswold Manufacturing was an American manufacturer of cast iron home products founded in Erie, Pennsylvania in 1865 that finally closed in 1957. For many years the company had a world-wide reputation for high-quality cast-iron cookware. Today, Griswold pieces are collector's items.

Those prices you put in your thread are about right. Criswold are the most sought after cast iron cookware. A freind of mine found 6 cast iron frying pans in a dumster, took them to an aution and got $65.00 for them. That pot with the lid should be worth alot more. Good find.

I think your buddy typed it in wrong.

A Griswold 8 tite-top with non matching lid just like yours but cleaned up went for $57.00 shipped.

It's up to you. If you feel it's worth your time and energy to restore it, do so. If not, throw it on ebay and sell it for a bit less.

My advice - light soap and water and WD40 cleaning. Nothing abrasive.

Estimate $40 for shipping costs, and build your price from there.

I also got a lawn mower that wouldn't turn over and didn't have a spark plug I flipped it on its side and spun the blade to break it free and put a Sparkplug and it fired up first pull
